Lost in Translation Vol. 11
The "name that tune" series with a twist. Can you reconstruct the original lyric after translation through half a dozen languages and identify the song?
Lost in Translation is a weekly “name that tune” series with a twist. Every Monday I’ll present a song lyric which has been run through half a dozen languages before back translation into English. The translation process transmogrifies the lyric into something quite unlike the original and the challenge is for you, Dear Reader, to attempt to decipher the lyric and name the tune. Every weekend I’ll publish a new post with the translated lyric along with the original and a YouTube video timestamped to the start of the lyric.
It’s Monday, which can only mean one thing—it’s time for another installment of Lost in Translation! Last week’s song was the Don Henley track “The Last Worthless Evening” from his 1989 album The End of the Innocence. For the first time in five weeks nobody was able to successfully name the song. Let’s see what this week brings!
This week’s lyric comes from a track by an early 80’s British new wave group that scored a top 50 hit with the song in more than half a dozen countries. If we’ve not had a correct answer later in the week, I’ll post a Note or two to help point people in the right direction.

Translated Lyric
Here’s the lyric for this week’s Lost in Translation:
I find my way interesting
I love you
if i could buy my reasons
I'm wasting my money
If nobody’s scored the correct answer by midweek then I’ll be back on Notes with some more clues and on the weekend with the solution.
Have at it folks!!
Please head to the comments and let me know whether you’ve figured out this week’s song!!
Is it “It’s My Life” from Talk Talk? It’s one of the only songs I can think of with the word reasons (other than EW&F’s “Reasons.” Which was what first popped in my head.)
Not a genre I know well outside of a couple of Tears for Fears records, so it seems unlikely I’ll be able to get this
