WORD(PLAY)LIST is a musical word search series in which you’ll need to find ten words (or short phrases) that share an underlying musical connection. Once you’ve solved the weekly puzzle, you’ll be directed back to the comments section where you can make your best guesses for the musical connection. Check out the introductory post for more details on how the series operates.

A Note on Programming: Word(Play)List will now be published twice a month, with the puzzle being posted on the first and third Mondays of each month and the solution posted on the following weekend.
Volume 14 (Single Words and Phrases)
The word grid below contains two single words and eight short phrases, all of which share a musical connection. Clicking on the image will take you the Puzzel site where you can solve the word search directly on your desktop, tablet, or phone.
Once you’ve found all the words, please head to the comments with your best guesses for the musical connection!
If you don’t want any spoilers then I’d suggest staying away from the comments until you’ve had a chance to solve the word puzzle and give the musical connection some thought.
