Ok, what stood out most for me was this sentence: "Bush had an appendedxtomy." As an amateur punsmith, I fully appreciated this one. The whole Bush adding an x for Canada story was news to me. I'll be honest and say that I never liked Bush. I tried, more than once. It happens.
But the back half of your playlist is pure fire. Brother Ali, Ben Harper and Black Uhuru? Yes, please. Nice variety in this playlist.

Babble. Can't believe I hadn't known about this Thompson Twins offshoot!
Bif Naked. Can't believe they were pretty popular in Canada in the '90s! I like it.
Bic Runga. Wow. I love this. And she opened for Tim Finn? He's one of my heroes. I am going to look into more of Bic Runga.
Also happy to see Blue Rodeo and Better Than Ezra here as well.
I feel you on the weekly commitment. I had committed to highlighting an album each Sunday and last week I just didn't feel up to it. So balance for me is also saying it's ok if I miss a week.
I didn't realize that the Bush issue had been resolved. That's how out of the loop I am!
I’ve definitely given myself permission to meet myself where I am with regards to the balance. If I’m really not having the energy or the time and need to skip a week, it won’t be the end of the world.
How fun, I've never heard anything from your list! "Glycerine", and "Never Alone" resonated with me the most 🫶 Balance is the key! Love the infographic. It’s been so much fun seeing how these playlists develop each week. I’m never quite sure what songs are gonna make the list and I enjoy filling in the back half of the playlist, and sequencing the whole thing, after the first 4-5 tracks have emerged. It’s also been such a joy to go back and listen to some of these albums that I haven’t revisited for so long.
Babble would’ve been easily missed - if my wife didn’t own the CD when we met I’m sure I would’ve overlooked it. Have to say, I was quite shocked to find out they were a Thompson Twins offshoot.
It was great to spend some more time with Bif Naked, Bic Runga and Better Than Ezra as I hadn’t listened to them in a while. Blue Rodeo’s greatest hits album is one I go to fairly regularly because there’s just not a bad track on there.
