It takes a lot of courage to share such a personal story. It takes even more courage to do it as candidly and honestly as you have done it here. Huge respect.

Thanks so much Andres. When I decided to start writing on Substack I also decided I’d be bringing my full and authentic self.

To be honest, it probably requires more courage and vulnerability just to put my writing out in the world than it takes to share about myself and my journey.

Thanks for joining me for this ride, it’s great having you here!

That was definitely a smart move.

Yes, getting your words out there is always the hardest bit. But you’re doing a fab job, and it shows.

Delighted to join you, and keep up the good work!

Thanks for sharing this, Mark. It must have been really tough to open up like that and write that stuff in here. Sending you lots of good vibes for this week✨✨✨ Also thanks for reminding me of so many great artists and bands, especially Candlebox, and Cat Power. It's like nostalgia encapsulated

To be honest, the way I shared in this entry is fairly common for me as I share very openly in my recovery meetings (as we all do there). Where the challenge lies for me is putting these words out in a public forum like this. I’ve always been very private and I value my anonymity as a person in recovery. But I’ve decided to put my full self out in the world in this newsletter and this is a step on that journey. Thanks for reading!
