Ghost in the Machine is just an incredible record. Far and away my favorite by the band. “Invisible Sun” is the kind of track that sticks with you and is hard to shake.
It really is such a good album. For me it’s between that and Synchronicity which brings with it some pretty intense memories of what was going on in my life at that time. Purely from a song and musical perspective Ghost In The Machine is definitely better for me.

So many great songs and artists on this list Mark! "New Shoes" was my favorite song in 2007! Paolo Nutini has never quite topped that one although I did like his song "Cherry Blossom" from the 2014 album, "Caustic Love." I also think "Ghost in the Machine" is an excellent Police album even if I do rank "Synchronicity" higher. Here are some of my favorite P artists' songs (wow! there are a lot!):
Yeah, both of those Paul Davis songs are great. I slightly prefer "Cool Night." I remember when "I Go Crazy" took forever to make Billboard's Top Ten. Davis must have been going crazy waiting for that moment!
Great read! And stunning pictures! As for Prince, if you like Purple Rain, I'd start with "Diamonds and Pearls" and "Parade". Other favourites of mine are his second studio album (self-titled) and "Controversy".

I’d agree that Paolo Nutini never quite topped that song or that album.

Some great P artists on your list and quite a few I don’t know (either the artist or the track).
For Paul Davis I’d have to go with ‘I Go Crazy’ over ‘Cool Night’ but it’s close.

Haha I see what you did there 😉
Lotta great stuff here, Dan!
PJ Harvey? Pretenders? Prince? Pearl Jam?!? Some of my all-time favorite artists. Brilliant.
Glad you enjoyed this one Thea!! P is definitely a good letter!!

Thanks Andres, I appreciate it! And thanks for those suggestions, nice to have a good place to start on such a big catalog!
