"Your Silent Face" by New Order is my top pick for the "Y" category. Great list, as always. Some new songs to dig into.

Some great suggestions on here Dan! About half a dozen of them were in my initial list but didn’t make it into the final playlist.

Great read as always! I hope you manage to get some well-deserved rest. Weirdly, despite not "fitting" into my usual type of sound, I really like that Brothers in Arms album. I also like Hall & Oates especially their album "H2O".

I guess one of my favourite Y tracks of all time is "You and I" by Stevie Wonder, from his "Talking Book" album (perhaps more famously the album that contains "Superstition"). It's right at the beginning of his "classic period". It's a beautiful ballad that has always hit the right spot for me.

Stevie Wonder is one of those artists that I’m definitely not familiar enough with and is in my top five list of artists to do a deeper dive into, perhaps in 2025. I’d never heard this before. It’s lovely, thanks for sharing!

"Your Latest Trick" is one of my favorite tracks from *Brothers in Arms*.

My pick is Rush's "YYZ". It's a great instrumental.

Thanks for the shout! Abandoned Luncheonette is fantastic, but so is Voices. I think I have a copy of that around here somewhere. This is as good of excuse as any to dig it out & dust it off!

That Roots track (and record) take me back to a very specific/narrow time in my life. That record was like a comet- for me, it burned fast, but not for long. Not sure why I stopped listening to it- it's incredible.

Yes Voices is also great! That Roots track got a lot of heavy airplay but I never took time to appreciate the whole album. I’ve really been enjoying it recently

Happy holidays to you both, Mark. Wow, following your journey since retirement, your many hours, days, weeks, and months of hiking, traveling to NYC, all over the UK and Europe, nursing, and healing your body... Blimey, you must be tired and ready for a restful holiday season with family back in the Caribbean! I wish you two all the best.

Your post also just inspired me to put on CSN's s/t album. I haven't played it for a while and tonight is the perfect time to dust it down and give it a spin.

Thanks Michael, definitely looking forward to some down time. Unfortunately returned home to my dad having had a fall and now needing an emergency hip replacement which is a bummer. But grateful we’re here to help so my sister doesn’t have to deal with it on her own.

That CSN s/t album is so good. Been listening to it a lot this past week. Wishing you all the best for the holiday season!
