The "name that tune" series with a twist. Can you reconstruct the original lyric after translation through half a dozen languages and identify the song?
I was also thinking of the cure, but don’t think they would be described as post-punk necessarily. though they do fit that description in terms of when they began.
This should be right in my wheelhouse, but I don't have a good guess. My first thought was PiL since they had some songs in the late 80s with a dance feel.
I feel like I’ve crashed on the first lap, but I’m stuck on the Cure’s “Hot Hot Hot.”
Gotta get that out of my head and get back to it. Lol.

Ok, after today’s hint, I’m gonna go with Siouxsie and the Banshees’ “Cities in Dust.”
Specifically, this verse:

Pouring down your gaping mouth
Your molten bodies, blanket of cinders
Caught in the throes…
Awesome Kevin, well done!!
Whew! 😅
I cannot tell you how many tabs I had open of song lyrics.
Oh really?!? I love that!
I think you nailed it!

Same! I tried to get "Seattle" to work, but just couldn't make it make sense in my head.
